What type of surface does the flooring need to be laid upon?

Question:

Hi could you tell me what the flooring needs to be laid on ? Could it be laid on top of an existing tiled floor (with cracks)

Hi Chris, thanks for the question.

The waterproof flooring requires a flat level surface to be laid upon, if your tiles and grout lines are pretty even then this shouldn't be a problem but any gaps or unevenness will need to be filled first. The flooring is often laid upon plywood sheets, concrete floors and can also be laid upon and under floor heating.
