Counthill School Cleans Up with Proclad

Counthill School was opened in 1951 and consists of approximately 1100 children, 80 teaching staff and about 60 support staff.

The buildings at Counthill are of the period and like most similar facilities have used tiles throughout the toilet areas.  Over time these have become chipped and broken; grouting has deteriorated and in some cases fallen out.  Overall the areas had become unsightly, difficult to clean and unhygienic.

Counthill needed to improve the areas and Spire Construction was brought in to complete the works.  Blue panels from our Proclad wall cladding range were chosen and fitted over the holiday closure.  Pastel shades of cream, green, and grey are also available, all with matching fittings.

The resultant job is a fantastic appearance, very easy to clean, and importantly maintenance free!

Premium Grade Hygiene at Elite Meats

Elite Meat Ltd opened in Starbeck just a short drive from the centre of Harrogate in 1999. A traditional family butchers, offering locally reared meat of the highest quality.
The quality, prize-winning produce on sale at Elite Meat is the result of traditional 'know-how'. Sausages, pork pies and ready meals are made daily from recipes that have earned many coveted awards all over the country.

Hygiene is of primary importance to owners Gordon and Andrew Atkinson, and when they decided that their pie production area needed a makeover to the highest standards, IPSL advised to choose the Proclad Premium Grade PVC wall panels.

Proclad PVC wall panels and PVC hygienic ceiling panels were specified and fitted, with minimum disruption, and a brilliant finish!

Proclad Solution for Barnsley Homes

Berneslai Homes is responsible for managing just under 20,000 homes on behalf of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council.  Berneslai Homes came into existence in December 2002 and amongst other work it carries out repairs and maintenance for the council properties.

Most of the homes that Berneslai look after have previously used tiles for the wall finishes in the bathrooms and showers – initially tiles promised a hard wearing, and water proof finish, but as times goes by the grouting deteriorates, mold grows, tiles get cracked and broken, and in some cases tiles start to fall away. They needed a product that would not have these problems, would have a long-life expectancy, and importantly, would be a straight forward installation – controlling labour costs.

IPSL’s Proclad Plus Grade product has proved to be the perfect solution. The grade chosen is a rigid PVC sheet that covers almost 3sq m each, trims for joints and edges, and a curved profile for finishing internal corners. No specialist wet trade is needed for the installation, which is fast and hassle free. Maintenance is virtually non-existent as there is no grout for mold to grow on or to come loose; the impact resistant plastic does not crack like tiles, and the large jointless surface is easy to keep clean.

For Barnsley, Proclad has become the product of choice for cost effective, waterproof, easy clean and durable walls.

Sunlight is the UK’s market leader in textile rental and laundering services for industry, commerce and the NHS and public sector.
As an innovative company, Sunlight are constantly seeking way to improve service levels – as part of this, facilities are being continuously upgraded across their 60 sites. The Proclad product is a PVC sheet fixed to the wall with adhesive and fixing trims. The finished job is tough, non-particle shedding, easy to clean, and has a guarantee for 10 years.

Compared to previously painted or tiles wall surfaces the Proclad finish is unbelievably tough, durable, and so maintenance free.  Cleaning is easy with a simple soapy water solution, and the premises look fantastic!

City of London Academy Islington Borough Council

In 2007 the City of London Corporation and the London City University secured funds to develop the City of London Academy at Prebend Road, Islington.
The building design was sympathetic with the local residential area and had a strong commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly construction. Galliford Try, Cowley were appointed main contractor. Part of Galliford Try’s proposals included commitment to stringent procurement procedures to ensure the project delivered value for money at all stages.

Proclad Premium Grade

IPSL Proclad were given the task of installing hygienic wall cladding in several rooms in the Catering Facilities. Proclad Premium Grade was installed in the Main Kitchen and several Store Rooms.

“We looked at several options for our cladding requirements, and eventually chose IPSL. We were very impressed with their attention to detail and their ability to work around our schedule. As is normal in new build situations best laid plans often change at short notice. IPSL were able to accommodate this and lived up to their promises on quality and schedule.

We looked at several options and found that Proclad offered all the features and benefits of more expensive brands. We were charged to offer our client value for money and Proclad Premium allowed us to deliver”

IPSL worked within Galliford Try’s stringent Health and Safety conditions and delivered a first class installation within the required timescales.

City of London Academy opened to pupils in 2010. The state of the art building was rated excellent in the BREEAM report and IPSL Proclad are proud to have been involved as part of the team.

Primrose Bank Caravan Park – Toilet Blocks

Primrose Bank Caravan Park is a family-run business, which has now been established five years.

A lot of time and careful planning has been put into developing the park and they are continually upgrading their standards. In 2010 they won the David Bellamy Gold award.

A high standard of hygienic and cleanliness in shower and toilet facilities is an essential requirement for the modern caravan park. Michael at Primrose says

‘Tiles and grouting simply don’t live up to expectations; after a short time they look dirty and are difficult to clean properly. I wanted something much better’. Following a consultation Primrose Park decided to fit Proclad Premium grade with its tough finish and fire rating, and IPSL fitted the job right on time as promised.

Michael simply could not be happier, "Thank you for the works completed, I am delighted with it. This product is brilliant and I am really pleased with everything. Also a pat on the back to the fitters, they just came in set up and got on with it - thanks to everyone."
