Do you have to remove the tiles first?

Overview:

Would you recommend that we remove the existing tiles before applying the wet wall?

Would you recommend that we remove the existing tiles before applying the wet wall? would the trim cover be enough to seal a large gap?

Hi Marie, thanks for the question.

You can fit our panels over existing tiles. We'd recommend you do this only where the entire wall area you're looking to cover is tiled. If the wall is only tiled partway then you'd want to remove the tiles first, or use ply or plaster to raise the lowered section and make the whole area plumb and flush. You may also want to sand the tiles down before cladding (especially if the tiles are particularly glossy) so as to help create a key for the adhesive.
